I use videos like the one above (took about an hour to produce) to help people using my low cost alternative to small business accounting software i.e. Quickbooks quickly learn new skills and techniques they can immediately use to improve their business. This is quite straight forward all you have to do is follow my instructions and you should be able to start selling what you know through the internet. Designing and creating your own product gives you a higher return on your investment, builds your confidence and allows you to refine and tune what you have so as you can sell more.
I hope you are aware of iTunes, but I bet you didn’t appreciate it is probably as significant to the progress of the Internet as the web browser in as much as it is a powerful way of accessing, downloading and organising video content. I love these video distribution platforms as they really have helped me sell and build a reputation for my low cost alternative to conventional small business accounting software such as Quickbooks or Peachtree.
The best way to decide what content you are going to include in your video is to start by creating a storyboard that lays out the structure and format of your video(s) content. The simplest place to begin creating a storyboard is to use Microsoft Powerpoint or Apple Keynote slide or presentation creation software as this type of content can easily be made into video. The really good news is that you can produce a storyboard, create your video and fine tune it and get it to market without spending any money what so ever the most this exercise is going to cost you is time and effort and believe me you will learn so much that you will look back and see that this is time well spent.
TechSmith Camtasia Studio is the video producing software that I recommend as it will let you produce your video in YouTube, Podcast, QuickTime and Windows Media format and there are some great tutorials you should watch before you download their trial software (please don’t do this now). You have thirty days free use of the Camtasia Studio software once you download the trial and what you don’t want to do is have it lying idle on your machine whilst you finish your storyboard and cut into the time you have to produce and refine your video.
You must now spend some quality time exploring the tools I have just written about and when you have done this you should return to this blog as owner permitting I will publish in depth instructions on how using the small business accounting softwarevideos as the real life example I storyboard a video.
