It is always interesting to read case studies of how things went for other small businesses. However, I found it hard to identify with the scale that this happened on. After one store opens on the West Coast, you open a second in New York? When you restart, you open stores on both coasts and in London? You get your own TV show? You have somebody to advise you on your media career?

I cannot see any of these things happening to me in a million years. How do some people’s careers take off into the stratosphere like this? I suppose one clue is in her tone in the article. She never seems to express surprise at these constant strokes of good luck. I suppose that if you feel entitled to success you attract it. Or is it that she has a special talent? Or perhaps both?

I like the idea of being debt free but is it really practicable? Particularly at a time when it is getting harder and harder to be paid on time? And also at a time when interest rates are quite low? As usual, I welcome your comments.
